Pamela Manning first opened her photography business in 1990 to cater to the needs of the professional actor. Pamela had worked in the field of acting for more than 20 years. She began in local theater, appearing with noted television stars Ann Francis (Honey West), Alan Sues (Laugh In) and Al Lewis (Grandpa from the Munsters). She spent five years in NYC where she studied, worked and “made the rounds.” New York was also where she learned about marketing and what type of qualities agents look for in an actor’s head shot.

When Pamela returned to her hometown of Norfolk, she continued to work in theatre, television and commercials. However, her background and schooling in art and photography were calling her to a new business venture. The Manning Studio was created to fill a need in the growing performing arts community in Hampton Roads.

Pamela's work has grown to include a variety of photography including the business professional, brochure/website work and commercial architecture, as well as family portraits, beauty contestants, politicians, doctors, authors, poets and, of course, actors!

In addition, Pamela’s photography specializes in fine art created from a photograph.

A professionally done photograph is the key to opening doors and becoming known, whether in the field of acting or business. Personal and family photographs become priceless treasures as the years go on. Whatever your need, treat yourself to the best – a professional photograph.
